Programs for College and University Campuses
Our college and university education programs encompass a wide variety of topics. Each presentation is tailored to fit the needs of the audience and can be addressed to a large or small group of people. Topics for college and university programs include discussions of power and privilege, self-care, the cycle of violence, sexual assault, sex trafficking, Title IX, etc.
Title IX is a federal law that protects students, staff, and faculty from gender-based harassment. This includes sexual harassment, sexualized violence, intimate partner violence/domestic violence, and stalking.
The North Coast Rape Crisis Team has worked closely with Cal Poly Humboldt over the course of many years with policy development, curriculum creation, and program enrichment. We have partnered with and serve as the university’s Campus Advocate Team, which provides 24-hr services to college students who have experienced sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and/or stalking. Currently, our agency is a participating member of Cal Poly Humboldt’s Sexual Assault Prevention Committee where we work alongside faculty, staff, students, and other community agencies to work towards a campus free of sexualized violence.
