Interested in joining our Board of Directors?
North Coast Rape Crisis Team was established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit in 1981. We provide 24-hour direct services to survivors of sexualized violence, intimate partner violence, sex trafficking, and child abuse in Humboldt and Del Norte counties. In addition to the 24-hour hotline, the staff provide peer counseling, support groups, advocacy, and accompaniment for law enforcement interviews, sexual assault examinations and to court. NCRCT also provides information, referrals, and educational prevention programs for children, teens, and adults, as well as trainings for various professional groups and at community awareness events.
We are always looking for people in the Humboldt and Del Norte communities with experience and interest in the following topics who are willing to serve a 3-year term on the Board of Directors:
- Non-Profit Governance
- Financial Management
- Fundraising
- Succession Planning
- Law
Prospective candidates are asked to fill out the application and are encouraged to include any information about yourself describing your skills, experiences, and passions that you would bring to our Board. Applications will be accepted on-going without specific deadline until further notice. Our Board size is designated as between 5 and 13 members, with our current membership being 7. We meet monthly at 5:00 PM every third Thursday. Subcommittees meet as needed usually immediately following the monthly meeting.
